Emergency Medicine Clinical Opportunities

 

Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates, P.A. (PEMA) was founded in 1983 in order to provide Charlotte, North Carolina, and its surrounding areas with exceptional Emergency Medicine service. PEMA is an 80+ member, democratic physician-owned and managed group. All of our Emergency Medicine physicians are residency trained in Emergency Medicine and are Board Certified or Board Eligible. Coverage at all of our facilities is augmented with the use of full-time Physician Assistants.

PEMA currently contracts to provide emergency department coverage at:

  • CMC-Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC) since 1997
  • CMC-Mercy (Charlotte, NC) since 2002
  • CMC- Pineville (Charlotte, NC) since 2002
  • CMC-University (Charlotte, NC) since 1986
  • Iredell Memorial Hospital (Statesville, NC) since 1987

PEMA seeks physicians who have completed an Emergency Medicine residency and who are certified or eligible with the American Board of Emergency Medicine.  PEMA physician extenders should have at least one year Emergency Department experience.
