Michael A. Beatty, MD is Medical Director for Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates clinical practice at the Carolinas Medical Center - Pineville Emergency Department. In that role, Dr. Beatty has primary responsibility for oversight of the physicians practicing in the Emergency Department. These responsibilities include QA for the department, multiple committee appointments, capital improvements and daily involvement in consultant and nursing staff relationships.

Dr. Beatty received a Bachelor of Science, Summa cum laude, from the University of Illinois and Doctorate of Medicine from Northwestern University. Dr. Beatty completed his Emergency Medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center - Charlotte and is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine. Timothy J. Hall, MD is Medical Director for Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates clinical practice at the Carolinas Medical Center - University Emergency Department. In that role, Dr. Hall has primary responsibility for oversight of the physicians practicing in the Emergency Department. Dr. Hall received a Bachelor of Science in Science and Chemistry from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill and Doctorate of Medicine from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill. He completed Emergency Medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center. Donovan Thompson, MD is Medical Director for Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates clinical practice at Carolinas Medical Center – Lincoln Emergency Department. In that role, Dr. Thompson has primary responsibility for oversight of the physicians practicing in the Emergency Department. Dr. Thompson received a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biochemistry from Oakland University and Doctorate of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Thompson served as Chief Resident at Wayne State University - Grace Hospital during his residency. Allin Vesa, MD, FACEP

Allin Vesa, MD is Medical Director for Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates clinical practice at the Iredell Memorial Hospital Emergency Department. In that role, Dr. Vesa has primary responsibility for oversight of the physicians practicing in the Emergency Department. These responsibilities include QA for the department, multiple committee appointments, capital improvements and daily involvement in consultant and nursing staff relationships.

Dr. Vesa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Anthropology with Honors from Indiana University and his Doctorate of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Michigan State University affiliated program in Emergency Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also received training in administration serving on various hospital committees and was a Flight Physician. Dr. Watling received a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Michigan State University and Doctor of Medicine from Wayne State University School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident at Wayne State University - Grace Hospital during his residency. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and a Fellow of both the American College of Emergency Physicians and the American Academy of Emergency Medicine.
