Michael A. Beatty, MD is Medical Director for Piedmont Emergency Medicine Associates clinical practice at the Carolinas Medical Center - Pineville Emergency Department. In that role, Dr. Vesa has primary responsibility for oversight of the physicians practicing in the Emergency Department. Dr. Vesa graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and Anthropology with Honors from Indiana University and his Doctorate of Medicine from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at the Michigan State University affiliated program in Emergency Medicine in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He also received training in administration serving on various hospital committees and was a Flight Physician.
